Foodies Festival (Edinburgh)
The Edinburgh leg of the ticketed, UK-wide Foodies Festival — three days in Inverleith Park with chef-demo theatres, a Cake & Bake tent, a drinks and cocktail line-up, street food and headline evening live music. Not to be confused with the free Edinburgh Food Festival in George Square Gardens: this is the paid national-brand event, more day-out-with-music than local producers' market.
Full Edinburgh & Lothians food & drink guide — distilleries, restaurants, where to stay, when to go.
The same slick, ticketed Foodies format as the Glasgow dates, in a lovely setting at Inverleith Park with the city skyline behind. Chef-demo theatres, a cocktail and drinks line-up and headline evening music — a paid day out (around £24 a head) rather than a free producers' market. The live-music bill is a big part of the ticket. Fun with the family or a group; less about discovering small Scottish producers than the free Edinburgh Food Festival across town.
A mostly outdoor park event in August — bring sunscreen and a waterproof, and shoes you don't mind on grass.

First, don't confuse it with the free Edinburgh Food Festival in George Square Gardens — different event, different feel. This one's the big commercial touring festival: polish, crowds, a ticket price and a headline act, in a genuinely nice park. The chef theatres and evening music are the draw. If you want free and producer-led, the George Square one gives you more per pound; if you want a lively day out with food, drink and music, Foodies delivers what it promises.
