Most Scottish farmers markets run on a fixed monthly schedule — the first Saturday at Perth, the third Saturday at Banchory, every Saturday at Edinburgh Castle Terrace. We’ve recorded the rule for each market and the dates are computed automatically every time this page is rebuilt. No manual updates, no stale dates.
Festivals are added by hand because they’re typically one-off events with announced dates. Our editorial calendar covers 12 major Scottish food and drink festivals — we refresh the dates each January for the year ahead.
