Oban Seafood Festival
Oban’s quayside seafood festival brings together west coast boats, cooks, and producers. Shellfish straight off the boats, demos, and tastings.
Full Argyll food & drink guide — distilleries, restaurants, where to stay, when to go.
Oban's quayside seafood festival is small, west-coast, and properly atmospheric — boats landing directly at the festival site, oysters shucked in front of you, langoustines from local creels. Free entry, ticketed demos, and a brilliant May bank holiday weekend if the weather plays nice. Combine with the year-round Oban Seafood Hut on the pier and a cruise to Mull for a perfect West Highland weekend.
West coast in early May — can be brilliant or brutal. Bring waterproofs and layers.
