Jackton Distillery
One of Scotland's newest distilleries, at Jackton on the edge of East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire, on the south side of Glasgow. Jackton represents the ongoing Lowland distilling revival: its first new make ran on 12 February 2020, and its inaugural RAER single malt was previewed in January 2026, with general release slated for autumn 2026. It is one of the most accessible distilleries from Glasgow city centre, with Hairmyres the nearest railway station.
Jackton is a small South Lanarkshire distillery near East Kilbride, one of Scotland's newer craft operations producing single malt in the Lowland tradition. Its first spirit ran in February 2020, and the inaugural RAER single malt was previewed in January 2026 ahead of a general release slated for autumn 2026.
