Misty Isle Gin

Last updated 16 May 2026

Made on Skye by Isle of Skye Distillers, with honey from the distillery’s own bees as a signature botanical. A young brand that punches above its weight on character — gentler and sweeter than the heavy-juniper Skye whisky next door at Talisker.

Our verdict

A genuinely gentle, honey-sweet contemporary that does what most floral gins try and fail to do — keep the sweetness honest. The Skye honey is the right kind of botanical story (their own bees, audible in the glass). Not a gin for serious martinis but a lovely G&T pour and a strong souvenir.

Tasting notes

Soft, sweet, and floral — closer in spirit to Hendrick’s than to The Botanist. The honey note comes through clearly without being cloying, supported by heather and mint. A very easy gin to like, and a sensible souvenir from a Skye trip.
