Inverurie is a small Aberdeenshire town with an outsized food and drink footprint, thanks to the Thainstone Centre on its outskirts. The monthly Aberdeen Country Fair at Thainstone is Scotland's largest farmers market — over 100 stalls drawing producers from across Aberdeenshire and Moray. The Taste of Grampian festival, which used to take over the same venue each early June and drew 25,000+ visitors for one day of food and drink, is no longer running (not on the 2026 calendar as of this check).
